The Whalehead Club
The Whalehead Club sits on almost 40 acres of beautiful grass lawns, old live oak trees, boardwalks, and unrivaled soundside views. Built almost 100 years ago as a hunt club and retreat for the Knight family it offers families multiple opportunities to get unique photos that's not "Just the beach." Whether we put the historic Currituck Beach Lighthouse in the background, use the deck of the mansion, hang out on the foot bridges, or climb in the trees we can always find something special to make your pictures stand out.

Soft light and beautiful scenery make the bridge at the Whalehead Club a great option on bright days.

The Whalehead Club is located in the northern section of Corolla; a very short drive for anyone staying in Pine Island, Ocean Sands, The Currituck Club, Whalehead (obviously), and the Ocean Hill communities. Plenty of parking, restrooms, and space for even the largest groups makes this a great option if you're wanting something just a little different. It's also handicap accessible with paved paths, boardwalks, and lawns so if you have someone who's injured or has a little trouble getting up and over the steps to the beach and through the soft sand we do have options.

Where else on the Outer Banks can you walk off into the sunset?
We can start at the beach and wind our way over to the Whalehead Club for seniors or engagement shoots.
